Obituary of Joseph S. Lamoreaux

LAMOREAUX, Joseph S., Jr. Age 87 of Elmira Heights, NY. He was born September 23, 1927 in Kingston, PA, son of the late Joseph and Cora (Croop) Lamoreaux, Sr. and passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Elcor Health Services after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary (Bundle); son J. Roger Lamoreaux of Big Flats; daughter and son-in-law Donna and Paul Benyo of West Chester, PA; daughter-in-law Patricia Lamoreaux of Elmira; grandchildren Lauren (Josh) Cabana, P. Andrew Benyo, J. Marc Lamoreaux, Matthew Benyo and Rachel Lamoreaux; sister Carrie Murray of Larksville, PA along with several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lamoreaux retired from NYSEG and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a former member of the Elks. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, July 5th from 4 to 7 pm. His funeral service will be held there on Monday, July 6th at 11 am. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
