Obituary of Edith J. Doane

DOANE, Edith J. Age 81 of Horseheads, NY. She was born January 27, 1934 in Wysox, PA, daughter of the late William and Louise (Montgomery) Parks and passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was predeceased by her long time companion John Burrows in 2005 and is survived by her children William (Irene) Doane of Cayuta, NY, Patricia (Bradley) Punchard of Elmira, Yolanda (Jack) Blair of Elmira, Ondalee Doane (Fluffers) of Horseheads and Scott (Luisa) Doane of Myrtle Beach, SC; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother Willis (Bev Keyser) Park of Horseheads; sister Grace Brewer of Pine Valley; special friends Glen Shelley and Jim Grady both of Elmira along with several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed playing Euchre and making ceramics. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, July 19th from 2 to 5 pm. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 5 pm. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
