Obituary of Dorothy M. Reynolds

REYNOLDS, Dorothy M. (Christastie) Age 84 of Horseheads, NY. She was born on June 9th, 1931, daughter of the late Leon and Anna (Kruckow) Christastie and passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Alexander Reynolds; sons, Douglas Reynolds, Brian Reynolds of TN, and Alan (BJ) Reynolds of WV; daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Jones, Nancy Reynolds, and Karen Lewis (Bob); grandchildren, Jeremy (Nikki), Justice, and Jordan Jones, Barbara Ann (Mike Vowell) and Trudy (John Eiland) Reynolds, Justin (Jen) and Megan Hollenbeck, Shawn, Fred, Kenneth Lewis, Robert Brick Jr., Brittney (Kevin) Czerniak, and Tori Reynolds; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Ann Randall, Mary Evans; brothers, Joseph and Robert (Helen) Christastie, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dorothy was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish. She lived for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, April 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Prayers will be offered there on Thursday, April 14th, at 9:30 am. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Peter & Paul's Church. Rev. Richard Farrell, Celebrant.
