Obituary of Eunice Herring Jackson

JACKSON, Eunice Herring Age 79 of Elmira, NY. She was born November 21, 1936 in Sarasota, FL, daughter of the late Rev. N.R. and Farrie (Green) Herring and went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. She is survived by her husband Rev. Ernest Jackson of MD; children Sheree (John) Massey of Elmira, Deneen Whiteside of MD, Michael Whiteside of Elmira, Deirdre (Paul Holland) Gatling and Ocile Whiteside both of MD; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters Mildred Evans, Billie Nelson, Estella Wingate, Edna Odom and Shirley Chapman along with a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jackson was an active member of St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from the NYS Div. for Youth as a Social Worker and was an active volunteer in the community. Family and friends are invited to visit St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church, 402 Sullivan St., Elmira on Tuesday, July 12th from 10 am to 12 noon. Her funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Rev. Johnny Vaughn will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
