Obituary of Esther W Enright

ENRIGHT, Esther (Welch) Age 95 passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents Roy and Ora (Balmer) Welch, daughter Michele Fusco, sisters Carrie VanAtta and Phyllis Payne and 2 infant brothers. Esther is survived by 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Esther enjoyed her family and created wonderful holiday dinners with homemade pies, cookies and candy. She lived with her mother whom she cared for until her death at the age of 102. Esther was a strong, independent woman who worked as a bookkeeper at Allen's Paint Store in Elmira and Stewart P. Wilson, Inc. in Montour Falls where she retired at age 79 in 2000. She was a member and past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club for 49 years and was a devoted member of Lake St. Presbyterian Church. Her family would like to thank the staff at CCNF for their care over the last 5 years. At Esther's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 3pm.
