Obituary of Lawrence J. Hinman

HINMAN, Sr., Lawrence J. Age 81 of Elmira, NY. He was born July 23, 1935 in Johnson City, NY, son of the late Kathleen R. Hinman and passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Lawrence was predeceased by his daughter, Laurie Ann Hinman, his mother, as well as his loving wife of 63 years, Anna C. Hinman in 2015. He is survived by his children: Diane (John) Brusso, Lawrence J. (Diane Solomon) Hinman, Jr., Kathleen (Jeff) Benner, and Winifred L. (Seth Austin) Hinman; his loving grandchildren, Michele (James) Wasicki, Theresa (Jeff) Brown, Michael (Angela) Brusso, Mary Brusso, Andrew (Kristen Bargesser) Brusso, Lindsay (Dave) Daversa, Kimberly Hinman, Jessica Benner, Joanna Benner, Patrick (Cassie Todd) Hinman; along with his dear great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of games, such as marbles, card games and lawn darts, listening to music, picnics with his family, and being an avid fan of Notre Dame and the Yankees. He spent many times golfing and watching football games with his special grandson, Patrick Hinman. Lawrence will be forever remembered as the 'Golden Eagle' to all of us. May you fly high with God. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter & Paul Church, 161 High Street, Elmira, on Tuesday, November 22nd 2016 at 11 am.
