Obituary of Christopher M. Keller

KELLER, Christopher M. Chris passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at the too young age of 51, after a valiant battle with Langerhans Multisystem Histiocytosis. Chris was born October 6, 1965 and grew up in Elmira, NY. He was the much loved husband of Lori Keller, eldest child of Penny (Priscilla) and Robert J Keller, son in law of Diane Howe-Peters. He is survived by his daughters Brandy (Tressie) Keller and Rachelle (Michael) Hostrander, step children Eric and Kelsey Kowalchuk, Kahleema Hampton, a son R.J. Mills and four grandchildren who lit up his life--Briceton, Brayden, Blake and Jace. He will be badly missed by his constant companion, Superboob, Chris's fur baby. He leaves behind several sisters and brothers: Laura Mitchell and her husband, Tom,Scott Keller, Mary (Matt) Keefe, Cindy (Sean) Coggins, Tina Walborn, Phillip (Anne) Stahle, Fletcher (Cowboy) and several nieces and nephews. Friend of too many wonderful people to mention in Tennessee, Washington State, Kentucky Pennsylvania, Alabama, Elmira, NY and many other states and virtual communities. We will all miss Chris's colorful personality and his ability to bring a smile to people's faces with his humor and adventurous recollections of his life. A special thank you to his many caregivers and all the people who helped and inspired Chris as he battled his disease, by caring for his body, or his spirit or his soul. Whichever category you fit in, thank you. He was blessed to have had such support from so many. As cremation was among Chris's last wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations to fight Langerhan's Histiocytosis would be appreciated by the family. http://histio.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.personalCampaign&participantID=2496 Godspeed Chris. You are now out of pain and at peace.
