Obituary of Edna L. Moss

MOSS, Edna Lee Williamson Of Elmira, NY, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on May 10, 2017. Edna was born on Christmas Eve 1927 in Georgia to the late Eddie & Lula (Perry) Williamson. She is survived by her husband Roy Moss; children Marylou Williamson and Troy (Pam) Williamson; 4 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, several sisters-in-law and brothers-in law and she leaves many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Edna was predeceased by all of her siblings. She was a strong woman who loved her family and the church. Everyone knew her as Edna or Grandma Edna. She lived a long life that wasn't always easy and enjoyed bingo on Friday nights, casino trips, and betting on the Triple Crown. She possessed a great sense of humor and her kitchen was always open for company and conversation. Those that knew her were much better for it; she will remain forever in our hearts. The family welcomes all to pay respects at Word of Faith Church, 356 W. Thurston St. in Elmira, on Monday, May 15th 2017 from 11am to noon. Edna's funeral service will be held at 12pm. Interment and committal prayers will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. A repast will be offered after services at the Queen City Elks Lodge, 726 Benjamin St, Elmira NY 14901 . At Edna's request, in lieu of flowers those wishing may make a donation in her name to a charity of their choice. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family
