Obituary of Gerard T. Jones

JONES, Gerard T. Sr. Age 57 of Elmira, NY. He was born June 14, 1960 in Wellsboro, PA, son of the late James T. and Marietta Jones and passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 31, 2017. In addition to his parents, Gerard was predeceased by his twin brother Gerald along with a host of grandchildren, cousins, and relatives. He is survived by his loving wife Esther A "Penny". Jones; his two sons Gerard and Justin Jones; two step children Stacey and Stephen Matthews; along with his brothers Jim, Linford, Mike, and Lyle. Gerard is remembered fondly as a kind, loving person. He loved the outdoors and will be missed by all. Family and friends are invited to visit Ss. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 556 St. Joseph's Blvd. in, Elmira on Saturday, August, 5, 2017 from 12 to 1 pm. Gerard's Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm. Rev. Walter L. Wainwright, Celebrant. All are invited to a luncheon immediately following Mass at the Queen City Elks Lodge #174, 726 Benjamin Street, in Elmira.
