Obituary of Patricia Ann Hovis

HOVIS, Patricia Ann

 Age 81 of Elmira, NY. She was born February 25, 1936 in Silver Creek, NY, daughter of Norman and Caroline (Ebling) Hilliker.  Pat passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at home, surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by baby Lisa who died shortly after birth.  Pat is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Robert “Bob” Hovis; stepson Steven Hovis, stepdaughter Dawn Criss and her daughters Cathleen and Jacquelyn; brother Eugene Hilliker and wife Rose Marie; nieces Brenda Myers and Janet Hilliker and several cousins, along with so many dear friends. For many years Pat ran her own business "Pat's Hotdog Stand" along with various other endeavors. Most recently, she retired from Winchester Optical in Elmira. Her memory is cherished by all those who knew her. Pat and Bob were very active in their dance groups as well as her involvement in fitness programs, including Zumba and water aerobics. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, November 11 2017; from 12 noon to 2 pm.
