Obituary of Stephen B. Ellis

Stephen B. Ellis, Age 63 from Elmira, NY, left this earth on Sunday, January 28th, 2018. His soul now resides in heaven along with his guardian angels, Janice Ellis (mother) and Adrian Ellis & William Ellis (brothers). Stephen, better known as Stevie, had a heart of gold and cared for each individual that crossed his path. He left a print on many hearts throughout his journey. Stevie was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather & loyal friend. Stevie is survived by his wife, Linda Ellis, his three beautiful daughters, Feiona Ellis, Janice Ellis, & Cheyenne Ellis. He was blessed with three beautiful grand babies Zanaya Deese, Malania Ellis, Tru Ellis-White, and has another sweet blessing on the way, his two sisters Bonita Ellis and Barbra Ellis, two nephews Tony Ellis, Javier Devoue & his great nephews Quinton Ellis and Jayvian (Monk) Devoue, who he loved very much, many cousins & loving friends whom Stevie has created everlasting memories with. Stevie also left behind a dog he raised from a pup named Henney who he loved very much and Henney loved him. Stevie loved sharing his passion of fishing with Kimberly Cheatham & Jason Crane. He enjoyed the soulful sounds of music, and creating a one-of-a-kind delectable dish for his loved ones. His frequent visits with his grandbabies and children are what gave his life meaning. Stevie had a way of lighting up the entire room with his big heart and contagious laugh. Everyone who knew this great man, felt special simply by being in his presence. May we all learn from him that life is fragile and every day that we are given is a precious gift by the Lord. Please join us as we pay our respects to this full-of-life, big teddy bear-of-a-man, Stephen B. Ellis. Services will be held at Shabach Tabernacle, 1133 Lake Street, Elmira on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1PM.
