DIEFFENBACH, Marilyn Y. "Heaven has gained another Angel" Age 85 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born June 12, 1935 in LaPorte, PA, daughter of the late Dallas and Lillian (Maley) Gray and passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 unexpectedly at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Earl in 2003, son Alan in 1971; sister and brother-in-law Ann & Martin Bahr; brother-in-law Leonard Schultz and niece Tammy Peters. She is survived by her daughters JoAnn Parisi of Horseheads, Tina Dieffenbach with Karen Vischansky of Towanda, PA; grandsons Thomas (Amy) Sano of Horseheads and Nicholas Sano of Elmira Heights; great grandson Michael Campbell of Horseheads; great granddaughter (her little angel) Aaliyah Sano of Horseheads; sister Constance Schultz of LaPorte, PA; brother and sister-in-law Lyle & Shirley Gray of Baltimore, MD; special friend Delores Wilcox of Elmira Heights along with several nieces and nephews. Marilyn retired from Anchor Glass after 42 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 154 Auxiliary. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and spent her life helping others. She loved animals and had many pets throughout her life. Marilyn enjoyed dancing, music and traveling throughout the United States with her family. Her recent love was going to yard sales with her great granddaughter Aaliyah. Services for Marilyn will be held at Mt. Ash Cemetery, LaPorte, PA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Marilyn through donations to any local animal shelters.
