Obituary of Delores Anne LaVigne

LaVigne, Delores Ann (Dolly) Age 76 of Pine City, NY. She was the daughter of the late Delores and Francis Palmer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, John as well as her sister Bonnie Austin and brothers Ray (Butch) and Joseph Palmer. She is survived by her daughters Brenda LaVigne of Horseheads, Lorraine (Jim) Wieziolowski of Pine City and Kimberly LaVigne of Elmira Heights; son John (Cathy) LaVigne of Mulberry, FL; 10 grandchildren including Clint (Judie) LaVigne and Jessica Roupp who spent all of their childhood guided by her; 22 great grandchildren; siblings Diana Little, Sheila (Jim) Comfort, Gary (Darla) Palmer all of Horseheads and Cindy (Tom) Ruggierio of Wheatfield, NY along with several nieces and nephews. Dolly retired from the Chemung County ARC and the Volusia County (FL) ARC. She was a kind and caring person to everyone. She always told her grandchildren "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck". Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, November 15th from 2 to 4 pm. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery. Her family thanks the staff at the Chemung County Nursing Facility for the wonderful care they gave to Dolly.
