Obituary of Latrell D. Gibbons

LaTrell "Man-Man", "LA" Gibbons Age 18 of Elmira passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2021. LaTrell, at such a young age, was already on his way to being so successful. He is loved and admired by many. To sum up the many ways LaTrell impacted others lives is impossible. LaTrell was the type of person who would always make it better. If someone didn't have, he would give. He was loved and looked up to by, not only the younger generation, but also by the older generation. When a student in school was being bullied because he didn't have sneakers, LaTrell came to school with a brand-new pair and handed them to him. This is just one out of a million good things he's done. LaTrell was graduating in June. LaTrell studied wood shop, automotive, and fashion and design. He also enjoyed fishing, he loved nature, basketball and was great at drawing. He also loved carpentry. One Dream LaTrell had which he was already headed towards was to build both his mom and father a house. Among all these things, he was also excelling with his music career loved by many. His heart and talent can never be put into words. What he has achieved, accomplished, and was working towards in 18 years is amazing. He was truly a legend. LaTrell is survived by his loving mother and father Danielle Gibbons and Shaheid Clayborn; loving siblings, 7 brothers Gene, Shaheed, Joseph, Lavontae, Isaihez, Jha'Meek, & Ja'khi, 8 sisters, Shabrijah, Maleah, Khadijah, Amari, Fatimah, Nadirah, Johnia,& Jay'Lynn; loving grandparents, grandfathers Paul Gibbons & Terry Clayborn, grandmother Joyce Clark; loving girlfriend Kierston Purvis, along with many other loving family and friends.
