Met John while working at Westinghouse all to many years ago. Became friends and his telling of boxing ambitions. Many reflections of John over the years and never forgotten. We all leave an indelible mark of all we meet and John was one of those. May you Rest In Peace my Brother!

As a member of John’s boxing class, I received life lessons along with boxing technique. “Punch like you mean it,” John always said. In everything he taught us, he encouraged us to give 100%. He was a great role model and coach. My condolences to his family and friends and all of us to whom he meant so much.

To the Gublo Family, we are so sorry to hear of John’s passing. It was shocking because John was always so energetic and lively. Our days go way back to the old “Y” downtown, then the ECF and NYS&F. He was the best and in a class by himself. To Chucky and Archie, words can’t express how bad I feel for you. Jerry and Joanne Potson

To the Gublo family, my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of John. I have known John since HS...we played baseball together, and eventually worked together in DOCS. He was a class man....a true friend....and we started a group a few years back that we refer to as the "1-49 Club," of which John and I are members, along with other buds born in January, 1949. Frankly, it evolved as a way to get together periodically for dinner and to exchange stories. John never missed a dinner. God bless John and his family...you are all in my prayers.
