Obituary of Mary Jane Solometo

Mary Jane Solometo Age 106 of Horseheads, NY. She was born October 12, 1915 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late John and Anna (Bilach) Mospan, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 1st 2021. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Louie E. Solometo in 2000; as well as her siblings William J. (Anna) Mospan, Stella (Frank) Lepa, Catherine (William) Lloyd, Joseph (Mary) Mospan, Larry (Angela) Mospan, Sophie (Daniel) Deegan, and Irene (Franklyn) Robbins. She is survived by a host of dear nieces and nephews. Mary retired from Trayer Products, was a longtime communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Roman Catholic Church in Horseheads, as well as a former member of the Rosary Society of the Church. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., in Elmira, on Sunday, December 5th 2021 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 6th 2021 at 9:30 am at St. Mary Our Mother Roman Catholic Church, 816 West Broad Street, Horseheads, NY with Rev. Christopher Linsler officiating. Committal and interment will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery, in Elmira. Those wishing are asked to make a donation to a charity of their choice in Mary's memory.
