Thomas D. Smallin

Age 68 of Oneonta, NY. He was born September 26, 1955 in Oneonta, the son of Daniel and Audrey (Goble) Smallin and passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at home after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his father Daniel. Tom is survived by his loving wife Karen (Payne) Smallin; their son Christopher Henggeler and wife, Leah Baker, their grandchildren, Ione and Emory of Hyattsville, MD. Mother, Audrey Smallin of Davenport Center. Brother, Terry Smallin and wife, Christine of Rockhill, NY. His loving In-laws, Hedy and Michael MacClintock of East Meredith, NY, Norman and Jeanne Payne of St. Augustine, FL and Joanne Payne of Salt Lake City, UT. He was loved and missed by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom worked in sales for many years, retiring from The Pennysaver in Norwich. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed running the Boiler Maker and Pit Run for many years with is nephew, David MacClintock. He was a proud member of the General Clinton Canoe Regatta 700 mile club. Most important to Tom was his family, especially his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Tom through donation to American Heart Association or Helios Care.
