Maryann Thompson

Age 67 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born March 26, 1956 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Bernard and Jean (Schropp) Hogan and passed away Friday, January 19, 2024. She was predeceased by her father Bernard Hogan; brother Tom Hogan and sister Patricia Hogan. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Steven; sons David E. Thompson (Stephanie Woodcock) and Steven J. Thompson (Kelley Johnson); granddaughter Emma J. Thompson all of Elmira Heights; mother Jean Hogan of Rochester, NY; brother Brian (Kathy) Hogan of CA; sister Nancy (John) Saxby of Rochester, NY; adopted son Joe Evans of Elmira along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. Prior to retirement, Maryann was employed with Sysco, Corning, Inc., Toshiba and Legends, but her most favorite job was being a grandmother. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Maryann was selfless, going above and beyond, always helping others. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, January 25th from 4 to 7 pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 26th at 10 am in St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin St., Elmira.
