Doris was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She retired from the Elmira City School District. Doris enjoyed going out to eat with her high school classmates, including her friend since kindergarten, Shirley Redner. She liked to put puzzles together and looked forward to watching her daily soap operas. She reveled in the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who referred to her as “Glamma Doris”. She loved to dance and was always up for a good shenanigan! We will always remember her bright smile and pretty red hair! Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, July 20th from 11 am to 1 pm. Her funeral service will begin at 1 pm.
