Jean was born May 28, 1930, in Elmira NY the daughter of the late Harold Hurst and the late Dorothy (Moore) Hurst. She passed peacefully into eternal life on December 1, 2024 surrounded by her family at the home of her son in North Hollywood, CA. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Belford and her son Todd, sisters Dorothy Holmes, and Lillian Williams, brothers. Harold Hurst (Doc), Robert Hurst Sr. (Bobby), William Hurst (baby), William Russell (Doug), John Hurst Sr. (Jack), Allen Hurst Sr. (Bruce), Marshall Hurst. Jean is survived by her son Del (Robin) Ward of North Hollywood, CA; grandchildren Dante (Stefanie) of Lexington, KY, Britney North Hollywood, CA, Miles of Japan, great grandchildren Mela o Japan, Renzo of Lexington, KY. Jean is also survived by her sister Phyllis Hale of Rochester, NY; along with many, many other nieces,

nephews, friends, and with her friends at Flannery Apartments and the Grace Episcopal Church family.

Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home. 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira NY on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Jean's Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 1 pm. Mother Linda Leibhart will officiate. She will be laid to rest at the Woodlawn Cemetery 1200 Walnut Street Elmira at 2:30 pm.
