Paul M. Corbin

Age 88 of Chapin, SC, formerly of Elmira. He was born May 17, 1936 in Ithaca, NY, son of the late Charles and Mary (Walsh) Corbin and passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at home. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2016 and 9 brothers and sisters. Paul is survived by his four children, Teri (Clifford) Pinckney of Chapin, SC, Ann Marie Baker of Elmira, Tina (Scott Englert) Kaschner of Rochester, NY, and Timothy (Megan) Corbin of Winter Park, FL; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Paul retired from the Elmira city school district, although his retirement was filled with many projects. Paul liked to keep busy; he loved to help various neighbors or friends wherever it was needed, and engaged in any social gathering that was presented to him. Family and friends are invited to visit St. Patrick's Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira on Thursday, January 16th from 10 to 11 am. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am. Committed prayers and interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
