Marc Anthony Holmes

May 16, 1963 – February 28, 2025

Marc passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at home after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents Nathaniel and Mozelle (Hairston) Holmes; brother Nathaniel E. Holmes; sister Carleita Holmes Boone and son Najee Holmes. Marc leaves behind several family members; sisters Sharon Lee Hairston of Elmira, Linda (Sam) Green of CA, Veronica Brooks of Elmira, Bonita Holmes of FL and his twin sister Marcella Young of Elmira; brothers Alonzo and Cerdan Holmes both of Elmira and Ricardo Holmes of NYC; daughters Megan, Nikita, Elizabeth, Holly, Tarra and Marcia; sons Marc, Jr. and Marcal. He was an avid musician who loved music and playing drums. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, March 8th from 12 to 2 pm. His memorial service will follow at 2 pm. Rev. Sharon Lee Hairston, his sister, will officiate.
