Obituary of Lisa Rose Latterell-Harper
Lisa Rose Latterell-Harper
Born May 18, 1964 in Elmira, NY, was called home to be with her eternal Lord on April 24, 2025, at the age of 60, surrounded by the family that she dedicated her life to. Lisa was the 8th blessing born to Ernest C. "Bucky" Latterell and Eleanor J. Storms, both of Elmira. She was a loving and God-fearing daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, co-worker, and family friend to many.
Lisa graduated from Elmira Free Academy in 1982. A devoted Christian, she went on to learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ at Free Gospel Bible Institute in Export, PA. She worked as a YDA2 at MacCormick Secure Center in Brooktondale, NY, where she touched the lives of many, and judged none. Her kindness, wisdom, smile, and contagious laugh will be missed and forever remembered.
If she knew you, she has prayed for you. If she loved you, she has pushed you to be the best version of yourself that you can be. She had the ability to see the very best in people. She was a human light house. Survivors left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of almost 30 years, Richard E. Harper; her children, Jarret Harper, Nicole Latterell, and Richard Harper II; her grandchildren, Tynia Harper, Zoraya Harper, Capria Harper, Liam Masker, Carter Latterell, Cooper Latterell, and Kennedy Oliver; her siblings Tom (Tina), Charles "Chappy", Debbie, Tammie, Darcy, Millie, and Marian Latterell, along several nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and close friends that Lisa considered family. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest C. "Bucky" Latterell and Eleanor J. (Storms) Latterell; her daughter, Deboni Latterell; her sister, Shari Latterell; her brother David Latterell; her nephew Ryan Latterell; and her brother-in-law Clark Smith.
