Michael L. Turic

Age 83 of Elmira Heights, NY. He was born December 30, 1941 in Elizabeth, PA, son of the late Wasel and Mary (Cilensek) Turic and passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at home with his loving wife and daughter by his side. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Claire Johanna (Turic) Sminko. He is survived by his wife Maria (Melnik) Turic; children Michelle and John; 2 grandchildren Sasha and Sophia; niece Shelly (Sminko) Hetzler and family along with several cousins and extended family and friends. Michael was employed with Westinghouse and retired from Toshiba Display Devices. He was a veteran of the US Army serving with Battery B, 6th Battalion, 9th Artillery Surveyor Division with the rank of SP4 E-4 (T) receiving the Sharpshooter and Good Conduct Medals. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 154, Elmira Heights and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
