James H. Caporiccio Sr.

Passed away on July 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 86. A dedicated husband to his beloved wife Joyce of 65 years. He was the father of 7, grandfather to 18, and great grandfather to 24.and great great grandfather to 2 and a friend to all. Jim is survived by his wife Joyce (Bristow), daughter Maria (Dave) Hartman, grandchildren Michael Hartman , Mark (Stacey) Hartman and Christina (Josh) Cratsley. Daughter Lucinda (Stan) Matthews, grandchildren Joseph (Tasha) Griswold, Stephanie (Keith) Dunham, and Amy (Danny) Stern. Daughter Theresa (Michael) Tobey, grandchildren Nicholas (Kasey) Tobey, Christopher ( Amanda) Tobey and Michaela (Jeremy) Butters. Daughter Debra (Barry) Bowen, grandchildren Troy (Kristie) Tobey, Alexander ( Sarah) Bowen, and Timothy Bowen. Son James Jr. (Cathy) Caporiccio, grandchildren Justin Caporicco, Jacob (Emily) Caporiccio, and Sarah Caporiccio. Son, Anthony Caporiccio, Daughter, Lisa (Kirk) Crandall, grandchildren Laura, Alaina, and Logan Crandall. Uncle John ( Dorothy) Bouille, Aunt Patty (Bouille) Bremer and Cousin Carol Caporiccio and his loyal dog companion Skippy. Predeceased by his parents Renee ( Bouille) and stepfather Frank Patchaldo. Brother and Sister Joseph and Joanne. Jim was the former Fire Chief of Wellsburg Fire Department, an electrical contractor and Former owner of New Penn Electric and Caporicco Electric. He loved sheep farming. Family and friends are invited to visit the Full Gospel Church Catlin, 683 Backer Rd. Beaver Dams, NY 14812 on Saturday, August 2nd from 2 to 4 pm. His Memorial Service will follow at 4 pm. Rev. Terrance Passmore will officiate. Interment, with military honors will be held in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
