George Thomas Malone

George Malone was born on January 9th 1934 to Rev. William T. and Lillie B. (Norris) Malone, in Olean NY. He spent most of his childhood in Elkland PA before ending up in Elmira NY, where he worked for the Elmira tobacco company and eventually Mohawk Airlines (U.S. Airways), now known as American Airlines, where he worked faithfully until retirement. He easily made many friends along the way and has seen most of them taken home to Glory. George passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2025 at the age of 91. He is predeceased by his parents, Reverend William T. and Lillie B. (Norris) Malone, sister Earnestine R. (Malone) McPeak, and brother Robert E. Malone. He is survived by his sister, Esther L. Malone, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews across the country. May he hear the Lord say "well done, thy good and faithful servant...".

Family and friends are invited to visit the Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., in Elmira, NY on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. George's Celebration of Life will follow at 3 pm. George will be laid to rest next to his brother in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery outside of Olean, NY.
