Marylou Louise Hill

Age 78, was born September 11, 1947 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Huffman) Alvoid. Marylou passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the home of her daughter, Irma, who has been the caretaker of her beloved mother for the past 7 years. Marylou was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosemary Hill; great grandson, Courtney Haynes; brothers, Howard Alvoid and Frederick Alvoid; and sister, Patricia Evans. Survivors left to cherish her memory are her children: Irma Alvoiod, Robert (Autum) Hill, Terrance Hill and John Hill; sister, Joann Skinkle; grandchildren: Solomon with his children, Solomon Jr., Sole`i, Rah'Mel; Tamea with her children, Najuan, Nianna, Patrick and Karder; Jermaine with his children, Maino, Jermaine Jr., Jah'Nya, Jazaiah, Messiah and Jocelynn; along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Marylou retired from the Chemung County Nursing Facility as a laundress after 20 + years of dedicated service. She loved playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles. In her free time she enjoyed reading. A Celebration of her life will be held at a late date and time to be announced.
