James D. Evans

Age 65, was born December 4, 1960 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Charles D. and Nancy (Kreisler) Evans. Jim passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Survivors left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 19 years, Tracey (Steves) Evans; along with his 6 feline companions. Jim was previously employed by Terp's Enterprise Inc. and was a diesel mechanic for the Chemung County Transit Authority for many years. In his spare time Jim enjoyed time spent wood working. For sometime he owned and operated Handy Man's Jim Shop. He was a volunteer with the West Elmira Fire Department. At his request there will be no prior services. He will be laid to rest with his parents in the Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
