Age 86 of Big Flats, NY. She was born April 16, 1939 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Clayton and Cora (Blanchard) Christian and passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Richard A. Gaylord, Sr; son Wayne Gaylord and siblings Alice Jackson, Barbara McCartney, Richard Christian and James Parke. She is survived by her children and their spouses Richard and Marjorie Gaylord, Jr. of Beaver Dams, Gale (Wayne) Gaylord of Horseheads, Gina and Lance Buckley of Erin, Chuck and Kim Cornell of Barton; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters Ruth Merrick and Margie Walburn both of Elmira along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, January 7th from 1 to 2 pm. Her memorial service will be held at 2 pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Rural Home Cemetery.
