George E. Parker Sr.

Age 81, was born August 20, 1944 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Leslie and Jenny (Butts) Parker. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. His sons, Steve Parker and Roger Saxbury; sister, Betty Jean Wilcox; brothers, Michael Parker and Ernest Parker preceded him in death. Survivors left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Helen (Thomas) Parker; beloved children: Darlene (Chuck) Wandell, Jerry Thomas, George E. (Laurie) Parker Jr., Mark (Gwen) Saxbury, Kevin (Debbie) Parker, Ricky Saxbury, Eugene (Larissa) Parker, Gregory Parker and Michael; adored siblings: Robert (Kathy) Parker, Shirl (Kenny) Coolbaugh, Charles (Sylvia) Parker, David (Mary) Parker, Erma (Marty) Daugherty, Leslie (Becky) Parker, John (Kitten) Parker, Margaret (Jim) Smith, Nora (Leo) Westbrook and Paul Parker; daughter-in-law Rebecca Spencer, along with 28 loving grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George proudly owned and operated Parker's Auto & Repair Shop in Lowman, NY. He also owned many race cars for family and friends who drove for him. George sponsored many of the race cars as well. He won Championships with his friend, Terry Potrzebowski and his grandson, Joshua Parker. Needless to say, George was a huge NASCAR fan and followed the # 5 Kyle Larson. He was also known for his love for wrestling. George's most favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He loved family gatherings, picnics and camping on "The Land" that the family owned.
