Jessica Nicole Smith

Jessica Nicole Smith of Wellsburg, NY gained her wings on Monday, February 9, 2026 very unexpectedly at home. She was just 17. Jessica was a junior at Elmira High School where she was a member of the choir for the past 3 years.

Jessica loved her pets and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She volunteered at Tanglewood Nature Center during summer breaks.

Jessica was a sweet girl who loved the color purple and Harry Potter, along with teasing her brother Thomas.

She was predeceased by her maternal great grandfather Terrall Ames, maternal great grandmother Patricia Wood, paternal grandmother Sylvia Smith and paternal great grandmother Anneliese Stein.

Jessica is survived by her parents Mark Smith and Stephanie Smith (Justin White); siblings Thomas Smith, Mia Smith, Brandon Michael Smith and Adalynn Kissel; maternal grandparents Robert and Suzanne Kemmer; paternal grandparents Dan and Marlene Smith; uncle and aunt Robert and Michelle Kemmer; aunt Nicole Smith; maternal great grandmother Phyllis Ames and several great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jessica's life on Saturday, February 14th from 1 to 2 pm at Gillett Baptist Church, 33241 Rt. 14, Gillett, PA. Her funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Pastor Mickey Cavanaugh officiating.
