Linda L. (Ryan) Taft

Age 78, of Pine City, NY, was born December 29, 1947, in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Lewis and Cleo (Decker) Ryan. Linda passed away peacefully at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA on Friday, February, 27, 2026. Survivors left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Dale E. Taft; beloved sons: Adam (Kimberly) Taft, Todd (Jennifer) Taft and Jared (Jessica) Taft; siblings: Kathleen (Ryan) and Gene Wheeler; Timothy (Donna) Ryan; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Fred Bixler; sister-in-law, Ellen (Lemoncelli) Taft; adored grandchildren: Wesley, Cooper, Addison, Zachary (Stephanie), Caitlin, Elizabeth, Michael and Sean; adored great grandchildren: Blake and Jocelyn; along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. Linda was a graduate of Southside High School class of 1966. She continued her education with SUNY Geneseo Summa Cum Laude in 1969 obtaining her Masters Degree. Linda was proud of her 33-year career with the Elmira City School District as an educator, spending most of her time in the Pine City School; many of which she shared with Mrs. Lisa Kelly, a beloved lifelong friend, colleague and confidant.
