Jean Ann Randall went to be with the lord on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the age of 91 with her loving family surrounding her. She was born on June 6, 1934, in Elmira, New York, to the late Leon and Anna (Kruckow) Christastie. She married the late Ralph R Randall Jr on March 7th, 1955 whom she met at Eldridge Park. He predeceased her on January 7, 1988. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Dorothy Reynolds and Joseph Christastie.

Jean Ann is survived by her children and their spouses Debbie and Mike Hlubek, David and Sue Randall, Diane and Les Padgett, Dawn and John Call; her grandchildren, who were her life, Joshua Randall, Sean Call, Heidi Call and Loki Randall; siblings Robert J. Christastie and Mary Evans along with several nieces and nephews.

Jean Ann graduated, class of 1952 from Elmira Free Academy. After graduating from high school she devoted her career to nursing at Arnot Hospital in the graduating class of 1955 and retired in 1991. Her kindness and compassion touched countless lives throughout her career. Even after retirement, she remained committed to helping others through her volunteer work at the Arnot, through her church (Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish) and at the Clemens Center. She loved her Friday night fish fries with her high school classmates.

She loved anything that involved spending time with her family, who were the center of her world. She loved planning significant celebrations for family in the back yard of their home on Rowan St. You could find her dancing anywhere when a Polka was playing. She would coax anyone nearby to dance along with her. Jean Ann will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for those she loved.

Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, March 29th from 4 to 7 pm. Prayers will be offered there on Monday, March 30th at 9:30 am, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary's Church. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
