Following a lengthy battle with leukemia and liver disease, Roger (Rod) Alan Hodge of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the age of 72 years.

Rod will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Tina Hodge of Kansas City, MO and bonus daughter Stacy (Dan Campbell) of Southport, NY; siblings Robert (Arlene) Hodge of Van Etten, nY, Jack (Ellen) Hodge of Cayuta, NY, Michael Hodge of Elmira, NY, Mary (Bill) Rouille of Spencer, NY, Terry (Lee) Hodge of Elmira, NY, Karen (Missy) Slater of Elmira, NY, Dianne Wright of Lowman, NY along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rod also leaves behind his lifelong friend Donnie Evans.

Rod was predeceased by his parents Nelson and Mary Hodge, siblings Lawrence Hodge, Gloria (Jean) Fedock and Patti Franklin.

Rod was a generous man who would help anyone who needed it, including strangers. He had a passion for fixing cars. He would, often times, buy one, put a few bucks in it and sell it. You never knew what Rod would be driving when you saw him next. Rods daily routine would include visiting friends or family for coffee and good conversation.

Rod was well liked by anyone who was fortunate to cross paths with him.

The family would like to thank CareFirst for their compassionate care and support during Rod's final days.

At Rod's request there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
