Ronald E. Mallacoccio, Sr. "Ginzo"

Age 77 of Elmira, NY. He was born May 15, 1948 in Elmira, son of the late LaVern and Susan (Travis) Mallacocio, Sr. and passed away Friday, May 1, 2026 at home surrounded by his family after an extended illness. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, LaVern Mallacoccio, Jr, and his cousin, Eugene Deery.

Ron is survived by his children; daughter, Ann (Keith) Bailey of Carrollton, VA; son, Ronald Jr. (Lilybeth) Mallacoccio of Watertown, WI; daughter, Theresa (David) Butler of Horseheads, NY and son, Steven (Amanda) Mallacoccio of Tioga, PA., grandchildren: Angela Opio, Yaliz (Alex) Guitterez, Brittany (Mark) Grist, Sara Butler, Peter Hernandez, Bailey (Shania) Butler, Jarred (Brooke) Burlingame and Rachel Mallacoccio and

5 great grandchildren; sisters Pam Lain of Millerton and Linda Savona of Corning along with several nieces and nephews. He retired in 2003 from Corning Incorporated as an operator. Ron enjoyed fishing and hunting, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, metal detecting, traveling to Florida and spending time with his family.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to CareFirst of NY, specifically Jenn, Diane, Tanya, Juliana, and Adam, for the exceptional comfort and care they provided.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1st from 12 to 3 pm at Park Station, Erin, NY.
