Kevin Ladd Barney

Age 70 of Pine City and Beaver Dams, NY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents Carlton and LaRae Barney. He is survived by his loving brothers Tim (Kathy) and Dennis (Lisa) of Beaver Dams, NY; nephews Patrik (Kathy) McKillip with children Matt Peters, Alecia McKillip of Lindley, NY, nephew Jeff (Tammy) McKillip of Wilmington, NC with children Jesse Horton of Beaver Dams, NY, Shauna Quackenbush (Lloyd Lanning) of Corning, NY, Kevin Quackenbush of Corning, NY, Kenny McKillip of Phoenix, AZ, nephews Stephen (Joy) Reep and family of Fayetteville, NC, Kyle Reep of Corning, NY; brothers-in-law David (Martha) Hansen and family of Elmira, NY, Michael (Deb) Hansen and family of Big Flats, NY; numerous nieces and nephews. Kevin was an avid lover of trains, Elvis, Buffalo Bills, and a lifelong diehard NY Yankees fan. He enjoyed music, especially country, and train books. Kevin had numerous jobs in the community; Capabilities, Cartridge King, Seneca Beverage, STI where he retired in 2016 and enjoyed day hab with the Pine City IRA. His family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Pine City IRA for many long years of quality, loving care; the doctors and nurses on 3C at the Arnot Ogden Hospital; doctors and nurses at Falck Cancer Center and the nurses and staff at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Private family burial will be in Beaver Dams Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life for Kevin, to be announced at a later date. His family requests that any donations, in Kevin's name, be made to the Special Olympics.
