Frederick E. Bixler

Age 83 of Pine City, NY. He was born July 10, 1942 in Elmira, son of the late Harold and Alice (Burgess) Bixler and passed away Friday, May 22, 2026 after a brief illness. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Betty Draht and brother David Bixler. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn (Taft) Bixler; sons Scott with husband Dodson Skipworth and their daughter Olivia of Ajijic, Mexico and Gregg with Amy Engelbert of Pine City; grandsons Taler (Tyler Thompson), Justin, Hayden with their mother Wendy Bixler; nieces and nephew Sue Draht, and Alan (Kym) Draht of Pine City and Laura Christensen of CA; brother-in-law Dale Taft and family of Pine City; sisters-in-law Ellen Taft and family of Naples, FL, Irene Bixler of CA. Fred was an automobile salesman for over 60 years with Gridley Lincoln-Mercury, Hartman Ford Lincoln and Ferrario Ford Lincoln. He was a member of the Elmira Elks B.P.O.E #62 for over 60 years where he served as Head Trustee for over 40 years. He and Marilyn enjoyed spending winters in Florida with "The Gang". He loved his T-Bird and 50's and 60's music. Family and friends are invited to visit the Elmira Elks Lodge, 300 E. Gray St., Elmira on Sunday, May 31st from 1 to 4 pm. His memorial service will follow at 4 pm. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
