Obituary of Raymond E. Kelly

KELLY, III, Raymond E. Age 66 of Elmira Heights, NY. He was born April 11, 1951 in Elmira, NY, son of the late Cora N. Townson-DeProspero and passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Linda L. (Johnson) Kelly; children Raymond and Matthew; grandchildren Killian and Alana; sisters Rhonda, Bonnie, Yvonne (Terry), and Karen (Pat), along with 19 nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Ray was 'a magnet for kids'; he was adored by his nieces and nephews. Even beyond his own family, neighborhood children enjoyed spending time with him. He was a matter of fact speaker who honored hard work, honesty, loyalty, family, and a good prank. Ray was a humble man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Ray's life will be held at the Elmira Heights American Legion Post 154, 236 Scottwood Ave. in Elmira Heights, on Saturday, November 4th from 2 to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, family donations are greatly appreciated.
