Obituary of Mona L. Phelps

PHELPS, Mona L. Age 70 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born August 9, 1947 on Long Island, NY, daughter of the late George T. and Ramona A. (Prendergast) Phelps and passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 unexpectedly at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Christopher E. Phelps. She is survived by her children Michael T. (Linda Dann) McConnell of Millport, Melissa A. (Michael J.) Donovan of Horseheads; grandchildren Robert Michael Donovan of Horseheads and Carly Elizabeth McConnell of Millport; sister Eva M. Frank of Mohrsville, PA; brothers David E. Phelps of Elmira and Ralph T. Phelps of Lockport, NY along with several nieces and nephews, and dear friend Gary Ayers of Lowman. Mona was a waitress for many years at Chef Italia. She also worked at Perkins and the UCP House. She was a huge NASCAR and Richard Petty fan. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, January 4th from 11 am to 1 pm. Committal service and interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
