Obituary of Mathias D. Brusso
BRUSSO, Mathias D.
Age 83 of Lowman, NY. He was born June 26, 1934 in Elmira, son of the late Mathias G. and Frances (Eames) Brusso and passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 unexpectedly at home. He was predeceased by his wife JoAnn in 2016, daughter Carol in 1998 and son Mathias Jr in 1965. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Charlene and Mark Bissell; grandson Nicholas Bissell all of Manlius, NY; brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Barbara Brusso of Newark Valley, NY; cousin John and Diane Brusso of Elmira and their children along with several other cousins. Matt retired from NYSDOT as a highway supervisor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and volunteered with the National Wild Turkey Federation. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Sunday, March 25th from 2 to 4 pm. His funeral service will be held there on Monday, March 26th at 10 am. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
