Obituary of Nicholas L. Volino
VOLINO, Nicholas L.
age 95 of Elmira, NY. He was born June 18, 1922 in Elmira, son of the late Louis and Rose (Matera) Volino and passed away Monday, May 21, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carmela; sons Louis (Joyce) of Rochester, Nicholas Anthony (Mary) of Elmira, Frank (Cindy) of Syracuse and Rev. Michael Volino of Rochester; grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Frank, Anthony and Michaela Volino; great grandchildren Daniel and Nicholas Volino. He was predeceased by his great granddaughter Elsie Mae and brother Anthony. Nicholas was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, currently Blessed Sacrament Parish. He retired from Schweizer Aircraft; was a veteran of WWII and was a member of the Sacred Heart Men's Society and the Knights of Columbus. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, May24th from 4 to 7 pm. Private services and interment in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Nicholas through donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202
