Obituary of Joli V. Saltzgiver

SALTZGIVER, Joli V. Age 49 of Elmira, NY. She was born November 25, 1966 in Sayre, PA, daughter of Avon and the late Dona Maye Saltzgiver and passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at Robert Packer Hospital. In addition to her loving father, she is survived by her sisters: Deborah (David) Smith, Angel Saltzgiver, and Cheri Saltzgiver-Andrus; her soulmate of 15 years, Adam Wheeler; nieces, Kaci Burnell with her son Davyn, Jillian (Monty Brockway) with their sons Logan and Calix, Jenna ( Jason Samuels) Saltzgiver, Shavon (Michael) Privettes; and nephew, Michael (Megan) Schrock with their children MacKenzie and Dylan. Aunt Joli will be dearly missed by Adam's family; Mary, Andy, Tommy, Amy, Cory, Tiffany, Madisyn, Sean, Samantha, Kamrie, Carter, and countless hundreds she considered to be her extended family. Joli also leaves her beloved canine companion, Chelsea. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira, on Saturday, May 7th from 1 to 3 pm. Joli's funeral service will follow at 3 pm. A Dish to pass reception will follow her service at the Horseheads Eagle's Club, 113 Westside Ave., off of College Ave., Elmira. In honor of Joli, her family urges those who wish to support them to attend the Walk A Mile In My Shoes walk for suicide prevention at Eldridge Park in Elmira. On the spot registration begins Saturday May 7th at 9 am.
