JOHNSON, Ann L.

Age 77 of Elmira, NY. She was born May 15, 1940 in Thiells, NY daughter of the late William and Lorraine Meeks and passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility.  She is survived by her children Laura and Larry Butcher of Millerton, PA, Dale Townsend and Sue Foster, Tammy Reese and Jeremy Huston all of Elmira; grandchildren Lisa Heasley, Shawn Horton, Robert Butcher, Linette Hess, Lorrenna Birdsal, Dale Townsend, Jr., Jennifer Proctor, Meagan Reese, and Joshua Beheler; great-grandchildren Myrana Sparling, Lance Heasley, Cogan Horton, Adalynn Butcher, Liam Butcher, Alyssa Hess, Cheyanna Birdsal, Kevin Birdsal III, Natalie Reese, Anna-Bella Reese, Mia Mousaw, Gabriella Decker, Ethan Decker, Blake Decker, Jonathan Decker, Dylan McCartney, Donovan Whitman,  Hayleigh Mattison,  Holly Hampton,  Alexia Townsend and Nevaeh Hamilton; great-great-grandson Miles Sparling. She was predeceased by grandson Shawn A. Townsend. Ann was a waitress and nurse’s aide for many years. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 3 to 7 PM at the Elmira VFW, 113 Keefe Street, Elmira where food will be provided.
