Obituary of Ellis L. Thomas

Ellis L. Thomas December 17, 1963 – June 9, 2020 Ellis L. Thomas – the name will live on forever in the hearts of those he touched. Ellis died of natural causes at home, where he lived with his common law wife, Destinee Mattison and his son Ellis B. Thomas. He was predeceased by his grandfathers Ellis Thomas, Sr. and Pastor Benjamin Turner. Ellis is survived by his mother Mary O. Turner; father Ellis Thomas; several brothers and sisters including Ellis, Walter, Venus, Sanell, Tinnisha and Ellis, Jr. Ellis was a person that when you met him, you would never forget him. He was funny, charming and generous to a fault. He was a humble, kind and gentle soul, a father that would do anything for his family and a man who would do anything for anyone. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. He was a very hard worker and excelled at everything he did. He worked for Texas Roadhouse as a baker and people would tip him for his guest's care. He also worked for Panera and they kept bringing him back. The care of his guests was #1 to him. He was a strong advocate for Job Corps. Ellis was one of a kind, my love, my mate, my rock, my laughter. Ellis B and I will miss him very much. He was a soul that touched so many lives and will be truly missed, but will live on for all eternity. Everyone who knew him, loved him. The laughs and the good times he brought into the lives around him will be forever remembered and forever in our grace. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date
