Obituary of Leroy D. Keller

KELLER, Leroy D., Sr. Age 78 of Elmira, NY passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 unexpectedly at home. He was predeceased by his son Russell Chad Keller and is survived by his longtime companion Barbara Quail of Elmira; children Vickie Keller Baskins of Hartwell, GA, Leroy Donald (Pattie) Keller, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Deborah Ann Keller Fisher of Elmira, Sheila and Theresa both of MN, Jenna Bostwick of Elmira; stepchildren Jamie Abbot and Jonathan Adams both of Elmira; dear friends Jack and Linda Pierce of Elmira along with 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Leroy was the owner of D & D Contracting and was self-employed for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during Korea; was a member of the VFW Rex Field Post 901 and was Vice Commander of the Chemung County Emergency Protective Force. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, April 29th from 5 to 7 pm. His funeral service will follow at 7 pm. Interment with military honors will take place Wednesday, May 1st at 3 pm in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
