Obituary of Donald W. Baxter

BAXTER, Donald W. Age 63 of Elmira Heights, NY. He was born September 19, 1956 in Elmira, NY, son of the late Donald N. and Virginia J. (Wood) Baxter and passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Bastilla in 2009 and brother Bruce Baxter in 1958. He is survived by his children Joshua Baxter and Amandajo Baxter; 3 grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Roger and Sandra Wood of Cape Vincent, NY; sisters and brothers-in-law Sharon and Richard Ross of Troy, PA, Kim and Robert Roussell of Elmira, Stanley Bastilla of Elmira; nieces and nephews Heather (Zek) Hancock, Amber (Dale) Gibson, Brandon (Cristal) Bastilla, Wil Peary, Ann Peary, Sean (Elaine) Peary, Sarah (Josh) Navone, Melissa Roussell, Alicia Wood, Rebecca White, Samantha (Sujay) Sharma, Eric Wood and Josh Wood; special friend Lisa Mallacoccio with her children Kayla, Beau and Patrick Mallacoccio. Don was an avid bowler. He was employed with Reinhart Sand & Gravel, The Feed Store and the Heights Theatre. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, September 15th from 11 am to 1 pm. His memorial service will follow at 1 pm.
