Obituary of Donald S. VanCise

Van Cise, Donald S. Age 81 of Elmira, NY passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. He was predeceased by 8 siblings and is survived by his wife Joan; children Philip (Deb) Van Cise and Gail (Bruce) Williams of Elmira, Melvin (Heather) Williams of Corning, Renee Hall of FL, Donald (Deb) Waters of Lockwood and Dawn Morgan of Allentown, PA; sisters Doris Thomas of FL and Ruth Bennett of MI; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; lifetime friend Harold Dean. Mr. Van Cise was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a hard working man all his life and held many jobs locally. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, May 28th from 11 am to 1 pm. His funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Rev. Robert Jones will officiate. Committal prayers and interment, with military honors, will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
