Obituary of Hazel Janette White

WHITE, Hazel Janette Age 90 of Horseheads, NY. She was born February 28, 1930 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Johnson) Allen and passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Elcor Nursing Home. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands Ralph G. White, Arnold Eugene Halstead and Frederick Alcock. She is survived by her son Robert Halstead of Pine Valley; grandchildren Kathrine Halstead of Horseheads and Steven Halstead of Elmira Heights; great grandson Jordan Apgar of Horseheads; brother James W. Allen of Elmira; niece Deborah VanDerWalle of Elmira; cousins Sharon Mashanic of Elmira and Carl (Camille) Johnson of Dauphin, AL and her feline companion Sammie. Hazel was formerly employed with the Telephone Company in California and New York and Sears in Elmira in the accounting department. She was a proud nurse at the Arnot NICU. She enjoyed gardening. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY.
