Obituary of Ella L. Polk

POLK, Ella L. Age 87 of Troy, PA. She was born June 10, 1925 in Wellsburg, NY, daughter of the late Robert and Belle (Curtis) Miller and passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband John Polk; grandson Brad Polk and great grandson Ethan Davis. Ella is survived by her children and their spouses Phyllis Woodruff of Horseheads, John and Rita Polk of Elmira, Donna and Lloyd Perry of Big Pond, PA; grandchildren Danny, Heather, Brian, Kara, Ryan, John, JoElla and Julie-Ann; 8 great grandchildren; sisters Doris Bobby of Elmira and Rita Greenwalt of Painted Post along with several nieces and nephews. Ella retired from St. Joseph's Hospital Food Service Dept. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family. Her family thanks Guthrie Hospice and Dorothy Hart, her caregiver, for the wonderful care they provided to Ella. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
