Obituary of Shamal I. Gladden

Shamal I. Gladden was born to Lottie Gladden with whom he is in heaven with, and Isaish Manning. He's the 3rd child of Lottie Gladden out of 6 children and the 2nd child of Isaish Manning out of 3 children. He now watches over his 6 children: Shamel Tyrec Swan, Lindaysia lee Sitzer, Juantanee` Shawneece Davis, Shamel Iszele Gladden Jr., Ukneek Divine Davis and Tyanna Amina Gladden. He leaves behind his 3 sisters: Annetta Rosa Barrett, Kizzy Josephine Gladden and Tina Shakema Gladden. Also his 2 brothers: Reginald Samson Barrett and Iatishzell Jenkins, he also joins his youngest brother Shawn George Gladden in heaven. He also has many nieces and nephew, great nieces and great nephews and cousins. His significant other for the past 8 ½ years Lashana Sutton and his godson TyTy. Shamal was a loving, caring and understanding person that anyone would love to meet. You couldn't help but fall in love with him when you first met him. He would give you the shirt off his back if he knew that you needed it. He always wanted to be the peace maker no matter what was going on. Shamel enjoyed life, loved being around people. He loved to go to his card games. Every time you saw him he would be talking to someone. He just loved to talk no matter what the conversation was about. As long as he was able to talk he was happy. Family and friends are invited to visit Shabach Tabernacle, 1133 Lake St., Elmira on Thursday, March 11th from 1 to 3 pm. His funeral and committal servcies will follow at 3 pm. Guests are limited due to COVID restrictions. Masks and social distancing will be stictly enforced. Shamal is deeply missed after his passing on February 27, 2021
